How to install views slideshow module on drupal 7
Choose Image as the type from the drop down, The form element will select itself. Click Save three times until the field is created. Step 5. Add a link field. Add a new field named Testimonial Links. Move it above the Hidden Field label so it will be part of the teaser. The hidden fields will show in the full testimonial, but not in the teaser.
Step 8. Enter the settings below. Make sure to define the view as a block. Name it Testimonial Slider. Check Description and give it a description. Choose the to Show Content and then the content type you want to show. Uncheck Create a page. Check Create a block. Type Testimonial Slider into Block Title. Choose the Slideshow Format made up of teasers.
Decide the number of items to show on the page. Use "0" if you want to scroll through all testimonials. Otherwise it will loop through 5 of them. Step 9. Give your block a name. Step Your new block will now show in the list of disabled blocks, and you can add it to a region like any other block. Add it to the region of your choice. I added it to Sidebar second. Add some testimonials Now let's create some content and try it out.
Go to your homepage and look at the result. Edit the slideshow. Now that we can see the block in action, we may want to make changes. Here's how to make them:. Mouse over the corner of the block so the gear appears. We will use image field for uploading our slider image and link field for creating a custom link where we want our slider to be linked.
I set this field as required, I added a file director name called slider-image so that this images will be arranged sperately from other images. You can set the maximum upload size and resolution here, I have anabled alt and title field and finally click Save settings button. Now it's time to create our new Slideshow view. From the Dashboard menu click on the Structure and then click on the Views. Click " Apply button ".

In views3 the filters are created in the beginning while we choose the content type and other settings! If you need any additional filetering you can create it here! You can even create custom front page template like page--front. Regions varies depends on the theme you are using.
Block Configuration Settings After enabling the block you get a link to configure the block so click on the Configure link and on the settings section set as below;.
