One tip I would recommend is also verifying integrity of you game files. I experienced so much crashing and when I actually ran this, it actually said something was messed up. I had to do it myself at one point but what is worse is that at a later date i had to do it again after a windows update something went wrong and I had to uninstall steam and all the games from my c drive and reinstall again to c drive. I am surprised after your years of use and playing skyrim and maybe some of the tools needed to organise the mods for stability and conflicts you never sen it suggested before.

If you wish to delete an official plug-in, you just need to delete the associated file. The directory that is now open lists all your save files, and also lists any downloaded content.
