Windows 7 aero disabled by administrator
Running firefox in native mode and then clicking on an iTunes link works fine now and does not disable Aero however now all my quicktime videos have a black box covering the controls again. Open the Quicktime player and go in to the Quicktime Preferences. I had a similar problem in iTunes where the previews or videos would only be black with sound.
Why not just use Aero borders like everyone else so you don't break our desktop consistencies I hate Yahoo! Messenger for the same reason! Thing is, Apple doesn't let people break their UI border consistency with their programs, so why should they themselves break our windows Aero themes just for their crap?
I would prefer not to use QuickTime but what about all those. I never use the stand alone player I only use it when I have to through the browser. Search In. I didn't that a policy is what the problem is because everyone else in the group was able to change their desktop, but evidently this changed about the time I got my laptop back. I'm trying to get IT to change it but he has to find out why it was changed and if he can change it back. If your machine is joined into the domain and you are logging into the PC with the domain user name, follow these steps to delete and recreate the domain user profile. Log on with your user name and password in other computer to test your profile settings and now try to change display settings.
If you are able to change then you can proceed to recreate user profile in your computer if still cannot change settings contact you network administrator. Before delete your domain user profile, first take the backup of all of the files, by copying the following folder. Log of local admin and log on with your domain user name and password to create a new profile. Add this user into local administrators group. Move your old documents to respective folder which you took the backup before deleting folders and you can arrange it same like before.
